Apache Trail, AZ -Willard Page 9209

This is a classic Willard Page painting 4″ x 4″ frame. The painting is on hardboard and has been around since perhaps the 1920s. This particular image shows a road going along a large river, with mountains in the background, water in the foreground and a few clouds. The painting is in good condition.

On the back side, “Apache Trail, Ariz.” is written in pencil at the top. The Apache Trail was a stagecoach road through the Superstition mountains of Arizona. It was a popular road back in the early 1800s.

Just a nice example of his work and no flaws that I can see. Very good condition, especially for its age.
